‘PAKEHA REPORT FOR JANUARY.
1/1/27. —At Te Kopae Pah. Been invited by Chief to organise the W.C.T.U. to the women folks. 2/1/27. —All agreed to help and wipe out the liquor traffic, but cannot form an Union as they are all religious people, and their children are sent to be educated to teach themselves. 3/1/27. —Back to Hamilton. 4/1/27. —Hamilton with my wtirk of the W.C.T.U. 5 and 6/1/2 7. —Visited Union members of Frankton. 7/1/27. —Back to Hamilton. 8/1/27. —Visited the President of the Waikato District, and talked over several matters concerning the W\C.T.U. work. 9/1/27. —At Maerangi had a meeting, and four members signed the Pledge Cards. Most of the women folks ivere away at a (tangi) and f was asked to call on them again; ail seem to be anxious about the work. 10/1/27. —In Hamilton. 11/1/27. —Went to Paterangi, Via Te Awamutu. 12/1/27. —Arrived Te Awamutu; word came Paterangi people gone to a (tangi); stayed in Te Awamutu with members of the Union, and talked over several things about the work they wish to understand. 13/1/27. —Te Awamutu. had a little meeting and explained the w r ork to the men folks 14 to 19/1/27. —Visiting in and around Hamilton. 20/1/27. —Left for Pukekohe. 21 to 2 4/1/27. —At Mauku wdth Miss Foster. 25/1/27. —Visiting in Pukekohe. 26/1/27. —Amongst the Maoris, not local people; a chat about the work was all that car be done. 27/1/27. —Back to Hamilton. 28/1/27. —In Auckland. 29/1/27. —In Helensville (visiting). 30/1/27. —In Reweti. . 31/1/27. —In Woodhill.
