A NEW YEAR MESSAGE.

Dear Mrs Editor, Will you allow me space to sendi New Year’s greeting to the comrade of my organizing years? I read win keen interest the reports from th< various Unions in the White Ribbon month by month, and how mj heart thrills as I see the familial names and say to myself, "Still ai work.” Many have folded theii hands and gone home, their work done, but I say "thank God" for thow still in the fight, and for the many little country branches which I organised, and which still hold*the fort bravely, as well as for those promoted comrades representing the N.Z.W.C.T.U. before the great white throne. May we all rejoice together in 1928, over a country freed fron the curse of the liquor traffic, is the prayer of Your comrade, MARY S. POWELL
