HASTINGS. November 12. Annual meeting. The first meeting next year in March. Mrx Wilson read a very interesting chapter from Richard Dobson's Book, “Alcohol.” The officers* reixirtx for the year were read, each showing that keen interest had been taken in all departments of the work. Election of officers held over until next year. Social evening followed, gamex were enjoyed. The following items were contributed: —Mrx McArthur, Vocal Solo; Mrs Banks, Vocal Solo; Miss l>. McArthur, Pianoforte Solo; Mias N. Slater, Vocal and Pianoforte Solos; Mr G. Warren, Monologue. A dainty supper wax then dispensed, and "Auld Lang S>ne" aang. W AIM ATE. October I. Misx Beer presided over a verygood attendance. Mixs G. Dennison gave her very interesting report of Convention. We then adjourned to the residence of Rev. Mrs Nlcol. “The Manse.” where a delightful evening wax «|»ent In games, competition**, etc. A bountiful supper and votes of thanks brought a happy evening to a close. November 8. The Mayor, Mr Dash, presided over an excellent attendance, there l*eing a large number of Adult Union members present too. The guest of the evening was Mrs T. E. Taylor, Dominion President, who gave a tiiokl helpful and stirring address on the “Need for Prohibition.” During the eveming, musical Items were rendered. At the close, one new 1 member initiated. November IS. Break-Up Social. In spit** of the wet night, "Y” members and friends apent a very happy social evening together, which I am sure, will live long in the memories of tlmse present. DUNEDIN. October 11. A faithful band has met twice a month to work for a Sale of Work, which was held on October 11th. The various stalls wore In charge of members who did good business throughout the evening. Musical and elocutionary items were given, and a happy time spent. The sum of £8 15s. id. was rained. We hope to semi a delegate to Auckland next year. November 8. Attendance fair, member; of Adult Union welcomed. Annual meeting. Election of officers resulted thus:—President. Miss J. Armit; Vice-Presidents. Misses A. McClean. M Walker. A. Gwyn; Secretary, Miss M. Duncan (re-elected); Treasurer. Miss I>. Ritchie. Mrs Hiett gave a talk of eneoura gement. NEW BRIGHTON. November 17. There was a very good attendance of members at the quarterly nodal. the President, Mrs Mitchell, presiding Games and competitions were much enjoyed, and supper was served. AUCKLAND. December 2. Miss A. M McLay presided. The Secretary's report for the past year was submitted; also the Tnvisumr’s statement, which showed a credit balance of £ll 11s. 4d. These were adopted. The reappointment of the present officers was confirmed with the exception of the Tnrresponding Secretary, whose resignation was received with regret. Her duties have been combined with those of the Recording Secretary. Mr S. PurHelove was appointed to assist Mr I*e< kie with the Evangelistic Work. Mrs la»e-Cowie gave a short Temperatice Address, and the meeting cloned with a hymn followed by supper. PLEASANT POINT. November 30. Good attendance, and Mr R. Roberts occupied the chair. The first i*art of the evening was devoted to business matters, and an inspiring address nai “Pear**'' by one of the members; this being followed by games and competition*. Musical items were pleasingly rendered by Misses D. Saunders and L. Bishop; Messrs R. Roberts. H. Roberts, and F. Smith, while part wrings by the company greatly added to the pleasure of the evening We are pleased to relate that during the evening, eight new members were enrolled. After supper had been partaken of. the meeting closed with the Benediction.

INVERCARGILL. November 15. At Mrs Norman James's residence. The President was very gratified to see a very good attendance of members. The meeting was opened with a hymn, Bible reading and prayer. The Secretary then read the minutes of last year’s annual meeting. The Treasurer’s report was submitted, and tlie accounts passed for payment. Officers elected:—President, Mixs Matheeon. Rugby Street; Secretary, Miss D. Llackmorv. HO Crinan Street; Oor. Secretary. MiNx G. Fraser, c/o. Fraser's Store. Elies Road; Treasurer, Miss Dawwon, 283 North Road; White Ilibism Agent, Miss Blaikie, Crinan Street; Press Reporter. Miss G. Pearce, 3 Beatrice Street, Wellesley. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to all retiring officers, and the repetition of the pledge.
