AN APPEAL FROM OUR ORGANISER.

Dear White Ribboncrs, — At our Annual Convention, our Dominion I’resident, Mrs Don, urged upon all Unions the great Importance of in creasing our membership, and thus strengthening our forces in preparation for the 1922 campaign, remarking that America had set herself to win a million new members by 1924, and urging that we surely could at least double our membership during the new year by a win one tampaign. This is work which every member can share. We know that there are hundreds of women throughout this Dominion who must count it a privilege to join our ranks, for we meet with ready response when definite appeals arc made. I find that Unions sometimes run out of membership cards, and do not immediately replenish their stock, often, indeed, living without them for sonic months, and 1 thin* that this must oft times nea.i ihat opportunities for gaining rew members must b'* neglected and lasi. May I suggest that every Union make •m effort tc fceep weM supplied with pledge cards, procurable from Mrs Mow!em, 33 Constable Street, Wellington, at tJJ per dozen, and that each member bo pi 'vlded with one or more at the next meeting. The membership cards may be carried in th» hand-iiag. and thus be ready foi use when opportunity offers. It is advisable, as far as possible, to collect th fees at the tin.* of signing of can Is, as the signing of pledges and payment of dues are essential to memIk rship. Yours sincerel,., ALICE F \R\SHAW Organiser.
