WELLINGTON'S MAYOR.
We wish to offer our hearty congratulations to Mr K. A. Wright on his election as Mayor. Mr Wright headed the poll as City Councillor lest election, and huo now been elected the city’s Chief Magistrate. Mr and Mrs Wright are both members of the Wellington District W.C. T.U., and both are earnest temperance and social reformers. Mr Wright is a member of the firm which prints the “White Ribbon,” and both he und nis partner, Mr Carman, have ever been ready to assist our Business Manager, and their advice and help liuve been invaluable in the heavy task of keeping our paper financial during the period of high prices and .var shortages. We congratulate our Empire City cn having a Mayor of Mr Wright’s high character and business ability, and In possessing in Mrs Wright a Mayoress who will be a worthy successor of Mrs .1. P. f .like, and higher praise coiild hardly be given.
