Temperance Sunday.
Dear Sisters, — This branch of our work is very important, atui one in which every l'ni< ti can have a part. The first and principal aim is to see that .ill Sundav schools give the Temperance le'son once a quarter. The lesson in tlie last quarter is lemperance Sunday, Nov. loth. Some Sundav schools have substituted the “ International Lessons for the “ Graded Lesson Hooka.” These provide Temfierance lessons, but it is left to the discretion of the teacher to give these, as there is no specified date, so a little assiduitv is needed to urge that the lessons are given regularlv. He would like our Superintendents, through the Association or otherwise, to acquaint the ministers that Temperance Sunday falls on Xov. io, and invite them to preach a Temperance sermon on that date. Kach Vnion will know what is most likelv to suit their own tow’n in the way of demonstrations, indoor or ol>eii-air rallies,
etc. TetniHTance Sunday should l>e made so attractive and instructive that its advent is hailed with joy. bet this year lie the brightest and best.—Yours to uplift, HARI*AKA TANSKN, N.Z. T S. Snpt.
