The Bible Wanted in our State Schools.
(To THE EIHTOH. It is pleasing to note that various Women’s Christian Temperance Cnions are working to got the local State School Committees to introduce the Nelson system of religious instruction into our State schools. This system permits the local clergy to supervise a thirty-minutes’ Bible lesson once a week. Would every reader help the local V/.C.T.C. to get up petitions signed hy parents, to he presented to the School Committees, urging a weekly thirty minutes’ Bihle reading ? The disrespect to parents, growth of divorce cases, in our rising race, point out the moral training of our present generation is being neglected. The Bihle, the best text hook on morals, must he read. Yours, \c., S. Pearson.
