As individuals we missed our true hearted friend, and as a Convention we should have welcomed her honest criticism and ripe counsel. President, viz , that in familiar eonversation round the home table, mem tiers of the Cnion make their own children thoroughly acquainted with the nature and effect of alcohol. Children are wonderful preachers to their own generation, and if all White bihboners would take the matter up we should soon have hundreds of juvenile temperance evangelists at work. Is Case of Accident. — One most im|M>rtant fact was brought out in the course of the consideration of the paj>er on the Medical Profession and Alcohol. Strong medical evidence was quoted to the effect that in case of accident the unwise and unsafe thing to do is to give alcohol in any form. The chances of recovery under later medical treatment are immeasurably lessened when the sufferer has l>een first, dosed with brandy or other so called stimulant.
