Oar illustration this month consists of the portrait of Mn F. Cole, the ahlc P.esident of the Chnstcnurch Union. Owing to her kindly spirit and conciliatory, tactful methods of procedure, meetings held under her rule are specially n rtice*hie for the ahaence of anything approaching friction. A few year* since, Mrs Cole, for a considerable period, wisely edited the page in the it owned by the Christchurch Union. In her public utterances Mrs Cole lays great stress on the responsibility associated with voting power and urges on women a conscientious stewardship of that talent.
