Britain and the Opium Trade.
The little monthly, Britain's Opium Harvest , announces the publication shortly of “A Handbook by Joshua Rowntree, giving a detailed history of Britain’s Responsibility for the Opium Trade with China.” It is said that Mr Rowntree is sparing no pains in the pieparation of the book, which will therefore be of great use to students of the subject.
The B.W.T.A. continues the work ot the anti-opium department, and the superintendent, in her annual report, urges that each branch shall be asked to arrange for at least one meeting on the subject during the year.
