The Chicago Business Women’s Club has resolved to exclude wine from their tables as a matter of principle.
Miss Madge Bignell, who passed her final examination and become a fully qualified chemist last December, has been appointed dispenser at the Women’s Hospital, Melbourne.
Dr Emily Dunning, a graduate of the Cornell Medical School, has been appointed to do ambulance duty at Governeur Hospital, New York City. While on duty (says the “ Women’s Journal),” Dr Dunning will wear a short walking skirt and shirt waist, a regulation surgeon’s cap, and a jacket bearing on one sleeve a red cross.
