The hosp tabty Committee accepted an invitation on behalf of Convention from Mrs W. 11. George, Clairmont Hanson Street, to a garden party on March 23rd, and a very delightful afternoon was sj>ent. The large lawn at the side of the hous ■ was the scene of the gathering. Croquet was played by some of the members, whilst others m ide acquaintance with Temperance workers whom they h.id not met with before. A cordial vote of thanks was accorded to Mis George for having planned such au enjoyable time forthe visitors.

Mrs Denton, of Ghuznee Street invited Convention to afternoon tea on March 2(>th, and many of the members enjoyed rambling through the lovely garden which surrounded the house and which is part of the original bush. The tree ami other ferns still grow in their native luxur ance, and form a beautiful back ground to the hou e. The balcony commands a tine view of the harbour and surrounding hills. Before leaving the members expressed their thanks to Mrs Denton for her kind hospi alitv. A drive round the city and suhurks had been arranged by the hospitality Committee for Tuesday afternoon, but as the sessions occupied a longer time than was supposed, the idea hud to be abandoned.
