Mater.—Apply a compress (a sirull towel serves the purpose well), wrung out of cold water to the heart; replace it by a fresh cold one when it has become heated. Persist with the cold pads until entire relief is obtained. If feet are cold, cover a hot water bottle or bag with a damp cloth, and place it to the feet.
