Thirty-six candidates, including a large number of adultrf, were presented by the Vicar. Before the laying on of hands the candidates and congregation knelt and sang the invocation of the Holy Spirit. The whole service was marked by a deep solemnity. On the following Sunday morning, at the 8 o'clock celebration, the confirmees received First Communion. The Vicar was celibrairt, and was assisted by the Eevs. H. IVL Wright, F. W. Chatterton, and M. Cockerill. The communicants numbered 164. Annual Flower Services. — Holy Trinity Church held large congregations on Sunday, November 10th, on the occasion of the annual flower thanksgiving services. The Holy Eucharist was celebrated at 8 a.m., matins and sermon at 11 a.m., choral evensong, anthems and sermon at 7 o'clock. At 2.45 p.m. a children's floral offering service was conducted. The children brought beautiful bunches of flowers. A striking effect was produced when the young people dedicated their offerings, afterwards marching m procession to the altar to present them.

The Poverty Bay Clerical Association.—The clergy of this district continue to meet monthly, and find the association most helpful. Last month we met at Tawheru College (Eev. M. Qockerill, 8.A.) The subject for discussion was " Sunday School Difficulties," which prompted debate. The members of the association have formed a circulating magazine library. -For the present we are taking "The Hibbert Journal," " The Church Quarterly," and " The Exposition." Missionary Sale of Work.— A large party of enthusiastic parishioners are working hard preparing for the sale of work to be held at the beginning of this month. The proceeds are to be given to the Maori and Melanesia!! Missions, the Church Missionary Association, and the _ Pan-Anglican Thanksgiving Offering.
