Ist Sunday— Evensong and Prayer, 7 p.m. 2nd Sunday— Children's Service, 10.15 a.m.; Matins, Prayer and Holy Communion, 11 a.m. • 3rd Sunday— Evensong aud Prayer,, 7 p.m. 4th Sunday— Children's Service, ' 10.15 a.m.; Holy Communion, 11 a.m. • sth Sunday— Evensong and Prayer, 7 p.m. The Vicar would be glad to hear, of a layman reading for Holy Orders* to assist him m the work of the parish. _ A brass plate m memory of the late Mr Ashton St. Hill has been placed m St. Luke's Church. It was 1 sent ous by his brother, the late Canon St, Hjill. The inscription reads :— ; '' In loving memory of Henry Ashton • St. Hill. Died December IS, 1906.; aged 81. " Love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous." The Vestry wish to place a window m St. Luke's Church m memory of the late Canon St. Hill, Who was for more than twenty years vicar of the parish, and for this object ask for donations from all his old friends and parishioners, the amounts given being restricted to £1. We are sure there will be no difficulty m providing a sufficient sum to place a really beauj tiful window m the Church as a fit memorial to one who was so well known : m Hawke's Bay, and whose faithful work m the parishes of Have? lock and Hastings -is not forgotten. The. family of the late -Canon are also sending out a memorial window to be placed m the church, .where already there- is a- window- m memory of Mrs St. Hill. - '
