BISHOP'S VISIT TO WOODVILLE.

Saturday, August 25, was a big day for Holy Trinity Church, Woodville. four adults being confirmed by the Bishop of Waiapu (Right Reverend G. C. Cruickshank) m the afternoon. In the evening 22 candidates (40 being from Papatawa) were presented for confirmation by Rev. T. F. Skey. Rev. I. Edwards of Pahiatua acted as chaplain to the Bishop. Following the confirmation service, parents and newly "confirmed adjourned to the Vicarage for supper.' On Sunday following first communion, the new communicants adjourned to the Parish Hall where they were entertained at breakfast by. the Rev. Skey, the breakfast being prepared and served by last year's candidates. Bishop Cruickshank sat at the head of the table. The Bishop was the speaker at 11 o'clock service at. Woodville and also at the 2.30" p.m. " service at Kumeroa. He left later m time for evening service at Dannevirke.
