DIOCESE OF WAIAPU.
The Synod of the Diocese of Waiapu is summoned to, meet on October iOth for the solemn purpose of electing a successor to Bishop^ Gerard. This event is one which' concerns not only the Diocese of Waiapu but the whole Church of this Province. It is the duty of all Church pepple to pray for the Synod that m the solemn duty which it is called to exercise the members individually and the Synod collectively shall be guided to a right judgment. The Synod will be presided over by our own Dean, and I ask you also to pray that God's enabling power and guidance will be granted to him m his responsible position. — The Bishop of Auckland, m the Auckland Church Gazette. ;■ y ■
