The annual meeting of parishioners was held on August 18th, at Tokomaru Bay. The accounts showed the debit balance had been reduced by £176 during the year. The present debit balance, £59, represented the balance of amount paid for architects' fees. The Vicar's report showed that, as he was working alone', the frequency of some services had been reduced. On the whole services were well attended and the various organisations m a healthy state. Discussion took place respecting the social work of the Church and the lack of knowledge of the reduced incomes of the clergy. The following officers were elected: — Vicar's warden, Mr. A. B. Williams; people's warden, Mr. F. Thompson; vestry, Messrs. W. F. Metcalfe, M. W. Halliwell (Te Araroa), J. H. Taplin, A. J. H. Kirkam (Ruakria), H. M. Williams, C. B. Nurse (Waipiro), A. Morgan, W. A peg competition was won by Mrs James 1, Mrs H. Oaks 2; while consolation sunshades were won by Mrs. Grant 1, Mrs. Fairlie 2. WAIPUKURAU. The annual flower show and sale of work on September 12 was an outstanding success. The previous night was very wet, the barometer was falling rapidly, and heavy rain for Hawke's Bay was predicted by wireless; things looked very hopeless, but, thank God, the day was perfect. The judge from Feilding considered that the flowers were equal to any at the bigger shows lie had been judging m Auckland and other big centres. In spite of hard times, the gross takings were £143 from straightout selling, with no raffles and guessing competitions. The Women's Guild is to be congratulated on the organisation, and the many willing helpers and those who sent m goods for sale so liberally are heartily thanked. Prices were so reasonable that the crowd that came to buy must have been well satisfied. The following officers were elected at the annual meeting:— People's warden, Mr. H. P.
