WAIPUKURAU.

Vicar: The Rev. Canon Rice, M.A. The Rev. F. L .Frost, of Taradale, took the Children's Good Friday service, and it was most inspiring; the Lenten self-denial offerings amounted to £6. Mr. Frost also took the Tliree Hours service j when the Church was full towards the s nil ; many have expressed "their gratitmio for help received at that service. The Easter services were splendid, with full churches and 203 communicants, which is a record.

The building of the new Church is going along well ; the roof is now on and the Norman tower complete. Many favourable comments are being made at the general appearance of the building. The Senior and Junior Guilds are busy working m preparation for the sale m aid of tho furnishing fund. Both guilds held very successful socials last month m aid of their working funds. The amount of about £600 is still required to pay for tho new Churcli, which is costing about £4, G00.
