Voodville.
Vicar: The Rev. G. W. Davidson. Our Sunday School annual picnic took the form of a visit to our Ohurch Homes at Otane and Waipawa, when over 80 children, teachers and friends took train to these places. The weather was wet and chilly but one and all voted it a delightful treat. The Matrons and their helpers welcomed us most cordially and allowed us just to make ourselves at home m spite of mud and wet. At St. Hilda's we had our luncheon and a jolly time — we took tucker and they supplied some tucker and boiling water. We then entrained and were welcomed and had our evening meal with staff and children at Afbbotsford, and everything (passed off splendidly — we felt rather mean leaving so many wet and dirty, marks at both places, which were so spotlessly clean wihen we arrived — but oh the unselfishness of the staff passes words of expression. Woodville visitors appreciate it all, and a^so the splendid work of the Church, and will always take a more lively interest m the social work of the Church to which they belong — for their visit to St. Hilda's and Abbotsford was an enjoyable object lesson.
