Vicar.— The Rev. Canon Rice, M.A. We struck the best day pf the year

for our Sunday school picnic, at the ideal site of Lindsay Bush. The majority of the children spent the day m the river, with a break for meals-. We are grateful to Mr J. Winlove for ijhe use of his big lorry and driver to convey the children, and also to Mr F. Hewitt for the use of a paddock for races andi games. The Eev. F. 0. Long's visit was a great inspiration m missionary interest. He spoke most interestingly to the Sunday school and Bible class. On the Sunday evening he gave a lantern lecture to a crowded church. At the annual meeting- of S. Mary's Guild, on March 15th, Mrs Rice was elected president, and Mrs Bradley, secretary and treasurer. It was decided to hold the Bulb Slhow on September 10th, and to organise a series of parish socials during the winter months.
