- TheneAv Home at Waipawa was officially opened by the Bishop on February 10th. Most of the clergy of Hawke's Bay and the Deaconesses were present. Archdeacon Simkin acted as Bishop's chaplain. A procession was formed with the crossbearer at the head carrying the, Diocesan processional Cross and followed by the clergy.
