Vicar: Rev. H. Collier. The annual meeting of parishioners was: held m the hall on Thursday evening,. May 18th, The Vicar presided over a fair, attendance. The balance-sheet disclosed a very satisfactory state of things, as the year which had. commenced with a debit balance of £109 7s concluded with a nett -credit balance (after allowing for outstanding liabilities) of £37. The Vicar appointed Mr T. H. Jackson as ftiis warden and Mr L. H. Maclean J was appointed people's warden, and * the following vestrymen were appointed: — Messrs Burge, Bridge, Pickett, Bousfield, Williams, Dunshea, Dymock, and Appleton. Mr C. H. Bridge was elected Synodsman and Mr Cartwright hon. auditor. Votes of thanks to all Church workers were carried m the usual way. At the conclusion of the meeting a parishioners' social was held, when a bright and pleasant evening was spent and a dainty supper was provided by the ladies. During an interval the Vicar presented Miss Seamons with a silver-mounted dressing case as a token of the gratitude of the congregation of St. John's for her services as honorary organist for the past seven years. Mr Jackson and Mr Bousfield also spoke m appreciation of Miss Seamons' services and expressed regret at her resignation.
