Maori Mission-Manutuke.

Miss Ella Newman, who for three years has carried on the work of this station, has just been granted a furlough for health and family reasons. At the last Bible Class at Te Arai Public School, her scholars, together with Maori and English friends, presented her with a crocodile leather suit case, a. rug, and "tor-toiseshell-mounted brush and comb, m grateful appreciation of her work. The Rev. Tureia Puha spoke warmly of the love and esteem Miss Newman had won and of the great help she had rendered to the Church and to himself personally. Miss Newman will be greatly missed during 1 her. absence and will be sincerely welcomed oia her return.
