Dannevirke.

Vicar: Rev. G. B. Stephenson, M.Sc. Assistant : Rev. J. E. Draper, L.Th. Mr Draper has begun his work m the parish m happy fashion. Crowded socials of welcome at Te Rehunga and Oratamau brought him m touch with the country folk at once. Services have been arranged m four new centres and promise well. We are looking forward hopefully to the future. During January m St. John's three beautiful new windows were unveiled. On January 15th one m memory of the late R. H. Robertshawe, who was Vicar's warden when he died m the epidemic. The Rev. N. Robertshawe was the preacher. On January 22nd two windows were unveiled by the Yen. Archdeacon Simkin — one m memory of Lieut. Russell; one a token of gratitude after the Great War from Mr and Mrs F. G. Cowper. All the windows were from England. Our Boy Scout camp began m moderate weather on January 24th but the second day the continuous rain sent us home. We have to thank Messrs Livingston, Antcliff and Hansard for taking the boys out 10 miles m their cars and bringing them back when the rain set m. Our Sunday School picnic was* :a great success— fine weather and more parents and children than ever, and enough food for a multitude. Our Sunday .School -at Dannevirke, Te Rehunga, Kiritaki and Tipapakuku have opened end are all faring well.

The Ladies' Guilds at St. John's and St. Albans have bought a motor bicycle for Mr Draper.
