Vicar: Rev. A. F. Hall, M.A. It is some considerable time since notes of this parish appeared m the "Gazette," and many changes have taken place. Mr Fisher is m Napier, and Canon Foster and Mr and Mrs Selmes have left us after six months ' energetic and lasting work m the district. Now the new Vicar has settled m and is beginning to get a grip of things. The Bishop paid his annual visit m May and inducted the Rev. A. F. Hall as Vicar on the 27th. He was with us for the following Sunday and gave two most inspiring sermons, as well as celebrating the Holy Mysteries at 8 a.m., and holding a Maori Confirmation m the afternoon. He is always most welcome here, and we only wish he could be here more often-. The Vestry are collecting money from the district to get a motor car, without which the work cannot possibly be coped with, single-handed. A committee has been set up to look after the interests of the Parish Hall, and m time we hope to have various organisations at work, such as a Missionary' Guild, G.F.S., and Mothers' Union, etc., as well as a Boys' Club. Will parishioners who take the "Gazette" please communicate their names to the Vicar without delay. A social was held on May 31st which was very largely attended, and at which the Vicar's warden, Mr R. Wise, welcomed the Vicar, his wife and mother, and presented him with a cheque as a wedding present from the parish. The Vicar is most grateful for the many acts of kindness which have been shown him since Ms arrival, and for the splendid traditions which his predecessors have left behind them. A local church paper is being issued monthly to all church members and it is hoped to add to it, later on, this ".Gazette." (Accidentally omitted from July . issue), '
