Waipiro Bay.

Vicar: Rev. J. Pigott. ■ On, Christinas morning Mr Wm. Busby passed to his rest at "Ahikoura," Tokomaru Bay. A brief account of his life will be found m another column. On Christmas Eve a Choral Evensang- was . held m St. Andrew's Church, Waima, On Christmas Day there were three celebrations of the Holy Communion— Waima, Tokomaru Bay and Waipiro Bay, and Evensong at Waipiro Bay. We were thankful for the good attendance at all the services. Forty-two people made their Communion on this great festival and on Christinas Night the little church at Waipiro Bay was filled with, a congregation of nearly seventy people. A very successful Sunday School picnic, organised by the Ladies' Guild and school teachers was held at Waipiro Bay m the middle of December. Races and games kept the children amused for the whole afternoon and after tea prizes for the past year's work were given out by Mr Beale, the Sunday School teachers and the vicar. We are sorry to lose Mr and Mrs Naden and family from; the parish, who have left for Tolaga Bay. His Lordship the Bishop of the Diocese begins his tour through this district on Friday, March 7th.
