THANKSGIVING HYMN: PEACE WITH VICTORY.

The armies of our^foiemien Against us rose/ in power, With threats, pf fearful slaughter In that dark evil hour, * Through years of strain and suffering Our hope m Thee' we found: Ahd now Thine' Arm hathi brought us A.;Pea<ce with Victory crowned. ; Not unto us, 0 Saviour, Not unto us the praise: To Thee be all the glory Through this^and endless days : For Thou hast given the Victory That ends the years of strife, Proclaiming to the nations A new and better life. To Thee for all the brave ones Who died that we might live, For all who worked or suffered, Our thanks and praise we give. By all these years of anguish, By all this tale of pain, Speak to the weary peoples And make them Thine again. 0 knit mankind more firmly In one great brotherhood, Whose highest work and purpose Shall be each other's good: Let strife of creed and party Witli clash of battle cease, And teach us now to covet The victories of peace. 0 praise the Lord, ye nations, Praise Him with one accord, For all His boundless mercies, 0 praise, 0 praise, the Lord.
