Belonging to the Eoll of Honor of the C.E. M.S. is the name of " : staff Sergea'Tit-Vtajor Ndtley, who has been mentioned m despatches for distinguished service m Egy pt, where he has been stationed since almost; the beginning of the war. Sergt-Major Notloy was an Imperial officer and the type of an English^ soldier, he was brought to N.Z under the Territorial ■system, and for soine years m charge of the Bay of Plenty area. He was one of those who formed a branch of our Society m Te Puke, and it conies as a d uty as well as a privilege 1 that I, m having known so well both himself
