PRAYERS FOR DAILY USE
A Prayer for Penitence.— Forgive me, 0 God, all the sins and selfishness of the past, and give me grace daily to repent and live a more useful life. I ask this for Jesus Christ's sake.
A Prayer for Help .-^Stretch forth Ihy hand, Thou God of Hosts, and decide between us and our enemies.' Give us fortitude and courage to endure hardness as good soldiers, and crown our ...labours with victory, through Jesus Christ our Lord. A Prayer for Those who Fight. — Guard with Thy loving care our brothers m camp, at sea, and at the front. Help them to remember Thy Presence ; and keep them safe m life and m death, through Jesus Christ our Lord. A Prayer for the Nation.— Stir up, 0 Lord, a spirit of service throughout the Empire ; may the soul of our nation respond to the. call of sacrifice, and help me to take a worthy part m this great day, through Jesus Christ our Lord. And we sum up our petitions m the words our Lord has taught us : — ■" Our Father, Which art m Heaven, etc."
