During the visit of the Bishop to Wairoa m October he held a short Mission Service, and afterwards formed a Branch of the 0.E.M.8. Eleven men came forward for membership, and received their badges. Taradale. A meeting of the O.E.M.S. was held on Tuesday, 4th October, most of the members being present. The Vicar gave a short address, after which there was a good chat about the various ways m which we might work for the Parish, Two delegates
were appointod for Synod meeting of C.E.M.S. Three new members were nominated. Rotorua. The C.E.M.S. is holding regular meetings. A number of its nrembers have banded themselves together to do certain painting and repairs necessary round the Church, while others are going to make a special canvass for subscriptions towanls the reduction of the debt on the Parish Hall and Vicarage. Seven or eight members have also offered their services to the Vicar as Lay Readers to carry on the services at the prison, camps, and elsewhere.
