Abstract of Annual Report. The report presented by the Trustees dealt exhaustively with the society's present position and future prospects, and was unanimously adopted. The financial statement showed a fair credit balance. The thanks of the society were unanimously awarded to the Borough Council for their liberal subsidy. The subscribers-roll contains sixty-eight names. The Trustees desire to convey their thanks to those proprietors who donate their papers to the reading-room. The revenue for the current year was £131 1s. 10d.; expenditure, £117 4s. 8d.; credit balance, £13 17s. 2d.
