There was a tremendous lot of action from expert axemen and sawyers from many clubs at the Ngaruawahia regatta and axeman's carnival. Action at Regatta
At the end of the regatta one of the tasks was to house the three canoes over the winter months. Encouraged by their captains, the crews push their craft up the bank to the canoe sheds, where prayers were said.
