I Will Survive (BMG) ,-\ Oh, god, I thought, not another cover of ' an old disco classic? But when I put it on I was pleasantly surprised to discover it wasn’t. I was even more surprised when listening to the lyrics that actually it was a cover of the old Gloria Gaynor hit. This, kids (pay attention CDB), is how you do a cover: you re-arrange the song and bring something new to what was done previously. For this version Savage has slowed the beat right down and turned it into an R&B slow jam. Best of all, it actually works. Great.
