Marsden initially based himself in San Diego for two months playing the America’s Cup Challenge bars. Then from a base in Austin, the Midge Marsden band played Texas, Louisiana, Memphis, Alabama and Nashville. Guitarist Lynne Campbell has stayed in Louisiana. Marsden made a quick trip to London for two gigs booked by Mike Corliss; Ronnie Scott’s and the Kiwi pub, the Captain Cook. The band’s sets in the USA included many Kiwi compositions such as Herbs’ acapella 'E Pa Pa’ and songs by Dave Dobbyn, Dragon and Dave McArtney. Midge’s Burning Rain has gained distribution in Europe by Sony Germany and indie distribution deals have been worked out from London and Austin. For a summer resorts tour Midge Marsden will be joined by Southern USA bluesman Willie Foster. hep TOUR \ 1 Jf_ AIX LIVE Christchurch "”’24" Dunedin 26" Wellington 29" Hamilton 30“ Rotorua °~2 nd Auckland °'‘3"‘ See local papers for venue details.
