At a recent meeting' of the Board of Governors of Canterbury College, Christchurch, a vote of

thanks was accorded Mr. S. Hurst Sc agar for his valuable gift to the technical section of the Public Library of 88 volumes of work upon art and architecture, and also 63 magazine parts dealing with architecture. In moving the resolution, Mr. C. H. Opie said that the formation of a technical library was receiving a great deal of attention on the part of the committee, as such a library would be of great value to the community. He hoped that others would follow Mr. Seager’s example in helping to form the nucleus of the technical collection.
