The site is at the. bend of a road and contains 1 rood 20 perches which is to be divided approximately between the three cottages in such a way as to give about an equal portion of flower and vegetable garden to each. There is a building line 20 ft. from road boundary which must not be impinged upon by any building, all building must be kept behind this line but. need not be brought up to it. The cottages must be in one block with party walls where they are attached (to save walling). 3 A \\<y f W w The frontages need not be equal—it is more important to subdivide the land so as to make the best use of it for garden purposes. The plan of the cottages must be similar, but need not be an exact replica of each other. They will be two storeys in height. The accommodation to be provided for each must be as follows : 1. —A Living room, with 3 feet kitchen range, about 200 feet super. 2. A Scullery-Wash house, with bath handy to copper, stairs leading up to upper floor, and small store, and wood and coal shed, and be approached from outside —the two latter may be in a lean-to addition.
