Across Sahara by Aeroplane.

The French Minister of War has just decided that the National Aerial League shall be authorised to obtain from officers of the Army Geographical Service all needed information for the perfection of their plans to cross the Sahara Desert by aeroplane, and Captain Boue, chief of the geodetic brigade of the Tunis-Tripolitan frontier, has been placed in charge of the matter. Says La Nature (Paris, October 8).: — "The League has sent to this- officer a methodical series of questions on the nature of the ground, bodies of water, landingplaces, stations for supplies, etc. Captain Boue has also been furnished by the League with a Daloz anemometer with which he is to study with, precision the winds of the region. Captain Noirel, chief of the geodetic brigade of Casablanca, who is about to start also, is now preparing with the League a similar plan for the region of western Morocco. This marks a useful departure.
