Tesla's Latest.

The most wonderful claim ever made by any human being lias just been acoredited to Tesla by the New York correspondent of an Australian journal. He is made to declare that he can, without a wire, despatch any quantity of millions of electric power, ready harnessed and directed, to any part of the globe, guaranteed to be useless to any but the accredited consignee, and to reach the same wherever he may be, whether stationary or moving at any speed. He guarantees also to call up any one by means of a rod, without any help from any wire anywhere, in a moment. The shock of receiving is too great. We can only remember that it was the same vehicle of communication which promised the storage battery on the word of Edison four years ago, and before that gave us a foreshadow of the Keely Motor which never came, and later promised us the gun developments we were to get from the man who went home with a. vast concession in his pocket, pledged not to talk with any one on the voyage, and prepared to be murdered at a moment's notice, anywhere, at any time. As we have not yet heard from the others, we should like to hear something more from Mr. Tesla.
