Death of a son of a Vanderbilt (By Marriage).

On July 24th last a fatal motor-urn* accident occurred near Poissy to Mr Wmthorp Sands, a son of Mrs. W. K. Yanderbilt, by her first marriage. When the accident occurred, in consequence of a broken tire, Mr. Sands and his motor driver were buried under the machine, which immediately caught fire There were workmen in the neighbourhood who, after some delay due to their fear of an explosion, succeeded in extricating the two men from their perdicament, but it is stated that in doing so they positiveh wrenched off one of the legs of Mr. Sands, who died shortly afterwards. The motor driver's condition is reported to be fairly satisfactory. Mr. Sands was only 23 years of age. He loaves a widow and two children, the younger only six weeks old.
