Richard Lawson and Septimus Newton, charged on warrant, issued at Hull, Yorkshire, England, with * ling’ £I6OO in Bank of England and Hull Banking Company’s notes, on the 4th October last, have been arrested. '

_ Vtde Police Gazette, 29 th June, 1872. . f he waterproof coat reported as stolen on the 23rd instant from Thomas Pollock, at Balclutha, has been ouna by Constable Dunne in possession of John King Kingsley, alias Sutherland, who has been sentenced to two months’ labor for stealing the same. . • The horse reported as stolen at Dunedin, on the 2nd instant, the property of Richard Hudson, has been recovered.

Vide Police Gazette, 29 th June, 1872. William Plunkett, alias Roach, and Andrew George Scott, escaped prisoners from the Ballarat Gaol, have been arrested by the Victoria Police.
