DESERTERS FROM H.M, SERVICE.

Report of a deserter from Her Majesty’s Service, from Wanganui, in New Zealand, on the 20th April, 1864 :

57th Regiment of Foot, 479, Private William Hart, 30 years old, 5 feet 3 inches high, fresh complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, figure of a man and woman and eross on right fore-arm ; crucifixion, ship, man, flag, bracelet, star, and anchor, on left fore-arm and hand; dressed in blue serge frock, white fustain trousers, and black cloth cap. A native of Lancashire ; a laborer.

Deserted on the 4th instant, at Sydney, from the 57th regiment of Infantry, attached to the detachment of the Ist battallion of the 12th, regiment, private John Cook , No. 3086, 34 years 11 months of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, grey eyes; cast in left eve, left leg ulcerated extensively, two small ulcers in right leg,- a native of Galway, Kilkenny; a sailor.
