Stolen on the 11th December, 1863, from Tuapeka, a dark brown horse, heavy draught breed, 8 years old, branded I near shoulder ; the property of Mr. Thomas Bowes of Tuapeka.

Stolen on the 27th December, 1863, from a mob of horses at the Kawarau Junction a chestnut mare, silver mane and tail, branded P near shoulder, M near neck ; and a mouse coloured filly, scar on off shoulder, no brand ; the property of Hector McDonald of Clifton House, Dunstan.

Stolen on the Bth January, 1864, from Tokomairiro, a light grey draught mare, branded n'near shoulder, saddle marked, with blotch like figure 4 under saddle. Supposed taken towards Tuapeka and Dunstan. The property of Mr. George B. Wood, Tokomairiro.

Stolen sometime within the last 7 months, from the Reserve at the Dunstan, a dark bay horse, nearly thoroughbred, black points, one foot white, branded XXX on near shoulder; the property of Mr. Watson Shennan, Manuherikia.

Stolen about the 26th December, 1863, from the Teviot, a cream colored cab horse, about 15 hands high, Ph near shoulder, the property of Richard Doolan, of the Teviot, who offers a reward of .£3 on recovery if strayed, and £5 on co nviction if stolen.

Stolen between the hours of 9 p.m. the 11th, and 5 a.m the Pith of Feb., 1864, from an enclosed paddock off King Street, North DunN [ edin, a grey flea-bitten cob horse, branded 2 near shoulder, sore wither, the property of Mr. Andrew Simpson, of King Street, North Dunedin.

A warrant has been issued by the Hamilton Bench for the apprehension of Michael Abrahams , charged with having, on or about the Bth day of January, 1864, at Hamilton’s, Rush, feloniously stolen one grey mare (since recovered), the property of William Smith of Waikouaiti.

Abrahams is 22 years old, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, dark complexion, long black hair turned under at back, no whiskers or beard ; a flashy Jew.
