Jobson , alias Weeks, native of Bungonia, farmer, 29 years of age, 5 feet 6 j inches high, -stout build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes,, burn on left arm. Marshall is a native of Albury, shoemaker, 30 years of age, 5 feet 11 inches high, slight build, brown hair, grey eyes, fair complexion. Reilly is a shoemaker, 35 years of age, 5 feet 6J inches high, slight build, sallow complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, lame in right leg, halts in his walk.

Whereas on the 11th September last, two convicts, named Frederick Brittain and Frederick Ward , effected their escape from the Penal -Establishment at Cockatoo Island : Notice is hereby given that a reward of twenty-five pounds will be paid by the Government to any person who may first give such information as shall lead to the re-apprehension of each of the offenders. Whereas on the 3rd instant, a prisoner named William Mackie escaped from the custody of the Police, whilst under escort, by jumping from a railway train in motion, between Fairfield and Parramatta Junction: Notice is hereby given, that a reward of Twenty-five pounds will be paid by the Government to-any person who may first give such information as will lead to the re-appre-hension of the offender. John Gilbert , about 21 years’ of age, 5 feet 8J inches high, slight active figure, brown hair not very long, no hair nor any particular marks on face, light grey laughing eyes, round nostrils, thick lips, care-worn in appearance. Ben Hall, about 28 years’ of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stout build, (would weigh about 13 stone 7 .lbs.), figure erect, respectable appearance, light brown wavy hair, short light beard, thick, but darker near his throat, and very pleasing expression of countenance, soft grey eyes, handsome nose inclined to be hooked, and thin compressed lips.

Description: He is about 27 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, medium build, light brown hair, lightish red moustache, small whiskers on side of face round featured, right-eye tooth supposed to be artificial, the plate Slightly discernible, pigeon-toed, cheeks supposed to be rouged, of gentlemanly appearance ; a native of North Prussia, well educated, speaks English well; supposed to be a draughtsman, and formerly an officer in the Prussian service. £SO reward for re-apprehension. This man is identical with Oscar Bird alias Vogel , who left Dunedin, per “Susannah Booth,” in the name of H. Williams, some five months since.
