HIGHWAY ROBBERY UNDER ARMS.
At 4 p.m. the 12tli January, 1864, as Mr. Elisha Holding was proceeding on the Hugburn and Dunstan Road, when about .3 miles from Shield’s Station on the Hbgburn side, lie was accosted by two men described below ; and, while the taller man was spe.king to I im, the other seized him from behind, threw him to the ground and held him down ; t lk tali man then robbed him of £23, consisting of • ne£-0, two £5, and three £1 notes, not identifiable: Ist man, over 30 years of age, 5 ‘feet 7 or 8 inches high, dark brown hair, beard, whiskers and moustache, scar under eye; dressed in dark monkey jacket, moleskin trousers, and light colored billycock hat; carried a revolver
2nd man, 5 f. et 6 inches high, dark complexion, cut on left eve from a blow inflicted with a stick by Mr. Holding; dressed in dark monkey jacket, moleskin trousers, and dark wide-a-wake hat carried a bowie knife.
