DESERTERS FROM MERCHANT VESSELS.

. . David Jones, able seaman, 5 feet 8 inches high, regular features, good-looking. Daniel Marks, .'Ordinary seaman, 19 years old, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout awkward gait. James Matthews, ordinary seaman, 18 years old, 5 feet 64 inches high, full. round face, good-looking. James Staton, 18 years old, 5 feet 7 inches high, coarse-looking. William Morgan, 16 years , old, 5 feet 7 inches high, thin built.

Deserted during the night of the 23rd Nov. , 1863, from the British ship Persian, at Port Chalmers: —-

Edward Morton , 35 years old, 5 feet 5 inches high, light hair, no whiskers under the chin.

George Roberts, 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches high, very dark complexion, small dark whiskers, shaved under the chin..

Joseph Goodman, 20 years old, 5 feet 6 inches high, stout build, fair complexion, light hair, no whiskers. Jackson, 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches high, a small piece gone from his nose. Henry Prendergast , 25 years old, 5 feet 54inches high, dark sun-burnt complexion, dark hair and whiskers.

John Murphy, 5 feet 5 inches high, reddish full face, light hair, small auburn whiskers.

. . Deserted on the 27th November, 1863, from the British ship Persian, at Port Chalmers : — '

Benjamin Taylor Boatswain, 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches high, medium build, dark complexion, hair, whiskers and beard, very round-shouldered, a Scotchman, . dressed in light moleskin trowsers, 'white jacket and Scotch bonnet.

William Baker, ordinary seaman, 19 years old, 5 feet 6 inches high, medium build, fair comDlexion, brown hair, no beard or whiskers, a native of Devonshire. - £1 reward for each of these men.
