(From nor own correspondent.) October 17. The St. \ invent do Paul Society held its annual meeting in St. Joseph’s schoolroom on Tuesday, October 6. The committee reports good work during the year and appeals to all to continue their generosity so that this charitable work may be continued. Seventeen families have been helped in their, distress by the distribution of groceries, coal,Mood, milk, clothing (old and new): approximately £SO being spent. ‘ ” . Rev. Father McLaughlin. C.SS.R.,;,commenced a Retreat for the Children of Mary at the half-past seven o’clock Mass on Sunday last. There was a very large attendance of Children of Mary and Handmaids in regalia. During Mass some 'very beautiful hymns were rendered.
