WEDDING BELLS

EGAN—O' SULLIVAN. On April 15, at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Timaru, there was solemnised (with Nuptial Mass) the marriage of Miss Mary Sullivan, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. O'Sullivan, "Dunboy," Marlborough, to Mr. Tom ICgan, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Egan, Timnru. Rev. father Egan (brother of the bridegroom) officiated, and was assisted by Rev. Father Frailer (Temuka). There were also present in the sanctuary Rev. Fathers Hurley, Barra, and Monaghan. The bride, who was led to the altar by her brother (Mr. F. B. O'Sullivan, of Marlborough) wore a dainty frock of ivory georgette with tunic and long sleeves of French lace. The court train of ivory satin charmante which was lined with pale blue nicked georgette ■■ was finished with a true lovers' knot;,in;pearls and a'spray of orange blossom. Her tulle veil, hand embroidered, was held in place, with pearls and orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and hot house begonias. bridesmaid (Miss Gertrude O'Sullivan) wore- a frock 1 of ? daffodil yellow charmante, brocaded in silver. Miss Kathleen Brosnahan attended her sister as bridesmaid, and wore a pretty frock of apricot erepc-de-Chine and a black- hat, and carried a bouquet of bronze chrysanthemums and autumn tinted leaves. Miss M? O'Neill, the second bridesmaid, wore a frock of moonlight blue and silver shot marocain and black hat, and carried a bouquet of Michaelmas daisies and maiden-hair fern. Nancy Sullivan and Peggy O'Neill (nieces of the bride) made pretty little flower girls in their frocks of shell pink frilled georgette, and wreaths of silver leaves and pink rosebuds in their hair. Mr. Leo Spring attended as best man, and Mr. .lack Brosnahan as groomsman. After the' ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Brosnahan entertained a large number of friends at their residence. The bridegroom's present to the bridesmaids was a gold expanding wristlet watch and bangle respect ively, also a gold bangle to each of (he little flower girls. The bride's' present to the bridegroom was an amber pendant for his watch chain. Later Mr. and: Mrs. McCahe left by motor for the! north where;, their honeymoon was spent....; Mrs. McCabe travelling in a navy costume with hat* to match, trimmed with French liower and ribbon, also a beautiful fur coat —the gift of the bridegroom. Prior to 'hoi' marriage Mrs. McCabe, was tendered a social evening by the residents of Kerryiown, and presented with a beautiful tea service and la painting of a. "picture'of the Sacred"• Heart 1 , from the Sisters of St. Joseph, Kerrytowii.
