(Prom our own correspondent.) July 4. The members of St. Anne's Guild are busy preparing for their annual sale of work, which will ' take place in a few months' time.. Those appointed, to take charge or the stalls are as follows: —Art stall, Mrs. F. E. Whitehead, Mrs. J. G. Venning, and Miss Mullan; work stall, Mrs. T. Quinn and Mrs. J. .Gilmore; produce stall, Mrs. A. Iteming and Miss Sullivan; children's and doll stall, Mrs. Mackle, Mrs. Shea and Mrs.Gawne; refreshments, Mrs. D.' Hertnon, Mrs. Kane, . and Mrs/ McGrath; boys' stall, Mrs. Sullivan and Mrs.; Seaman; fish pond,.Mrs. PerriamV;
A very successful progressive euchre tournament was hold recently in. aid of the various; stalls, the prizewinners being Mr. Dunne and Mrs. G'Donoghue, the consolation prizes going to Miss M. Quinn and Mt. Geo. Flett. The guild has been granted the use of a room (formerly a class-room) at the girls' school, Craigie Avenue, which has recently been renovated and furnished, and now' presents a cosy appearance. The members meet every Wednesday afternoon, and make up garments, etc., to replenish their stock. Afternoon tea is dispensed, and occasionally-interest-ing papers are read and discussed. I The Celtic Football Club has arranged to hold the annual dance, at St. Patrick's Hall, on the 9th inst. The tickets are selling well, and the committee has made complete arrangements for the function, which promises to be very successful. A benefit concert for a deserving cause will be held at St. Patrick's Hall on the 16th inst. Tickets are in circulation and it is hoped the parishioners will patronise the concert so that a creditable sum will be realised.
