Wedding Bells

DRISCOLLCARTMER. The wedding was solemnised recently by Very Rev. Dean Lane, at the Church of SS. Peter and Paul, Lower Hutt, of Denis William, second son of the late Mr. John Driscoll (formerly of the Treasury Dept., Wellington), and May, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Cartmer, of Lower Hutt. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother (Mr. John Cartmer), wore a becoming gown of white charmeuse, trimmed with radium lace. Her veil was arranged in cap fashion, finished with a band of silver leaves, and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet of lilies of the valley and maidenhair ferns. The two bridesmaids were Misses Mollie and Beatrice Driscoll, the former wearing a pretty frock of nattier blue crepe-de-Chine, handsomely beaded, a large Leghorn hat, trimmed with blue tulle and flowers, with a bouquet of cream roses and blue delphiniums. Miss B. Driscoll wore a- dainty shell crepe-de-Chine frock,

finished with silver beads, a. large hat of fawn tulle, gold tissue, pink roses, her bouquet being pale pink stock and maidenhair fern. Mr. James Driscoll was best man. A reception was afterwards held at "Halsey," the family home of the bridegroom, and a social followed in the evening. Late in the afternoon the bride and bridegroom left by motor on their wedding tour. The presents were numerous and costly.
